SPECIAL PROJECTS AND PARTNERSHIPS
ΑΦΑ’s special projects are programs and activities that are sustained through collaborative efforts, memoranda of understanding, and/or outside financial assistance, which ΑΦΑ chapters are encouraged to implement. Current special projects include:
Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Implemented in 1991, ΑΦΑ and BB/BS assist each other in mentoring African American boys and young men.
Boy Scouts of American
Through this alliance, ΑΦΑ focuses on mentoring through the Scouting program.
College Life to Corporate Life (C2C)
In concert with the mission of ΑΦΑ, the C2C was created to develop the human resources of ΑΦΑ. The goal is to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners and provide increased diverse talent for its corporate partners-- resulting in rewarding career opportunities for of ΑΦΑ Brothers.
Leadership Development Institute
The program prepares outstanding high school students in the vital skills of leadership, college preparation and effective group interaction.
Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Partnership with Social Action Committee Voter Education/Registration and community forums focused on social issues.
